PORTLAND CHAPTER
LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge that we live, work, and skateboard on the occupied lands of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and specifically on the ancestral lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tumwater, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla and many others past present and future who have made their homes along the Columbia River. This acknowledgement does not take the place of authentic relationships with Indigenous communities, but serves as a first step in honoring the land we occupy and resisting the erasure of Indigenous peoples past, present, and future. We can take steps toward action on this solidarity by supporting Native-led organizations and Native communities where we live, such as NAYA, NARA, and Potlatch Fund.
